Prizes and Honours in the field of Obstetrics & Gynaecology :
- Mrs. Indumati Jhaveri Prize - for Best Paper Presentation (First Prize) at XXIXth All India Obst. & Gynaec. Congress.
- State Award for maximum IUCD insertions for the year 1986-87 awarded by the Govt. of Maharashtra State - Prize awarded yearly to the first four Family Planning Officers for insertion of maximum number of IUCDS amongst all F.P. Officers of Maharashtra i.e. Jilha Parishada, Corporations, Greater Corporations and Voluntary Organizations situated all over Maharashtra State.
- FOGSI Ethicon Fellowship awarded for the year 1990. This fellowship is awarded by the Federation of Obstetrics Gynaecological Societies of India after scrutinizing applications received from all over India giving opportunity to visit centres of excellence in India for a period of 6 weeks (USG and Doppler, Colposcopy, Oncosurgery).
- M.Shah Fellowship awarded by the Mumbai Obstetric & Gynaecological Society for the year 1992 to visit centres involved in specialized work. (Microsurgery, Endoscopic Surgery).
- Dr. C.L. Jhaveri Prize - For Best Paper Presentation at 40th All India Obstetric & Gynaec. Congress at Pune (The Role of low dose Aspirin in pregnancy).
- Young Scientist Award MOGS Dr. Pramila Bhatia's Young Scientist Award for the Year 1997-98 - For the original work done in the field of imparting Health - Education.
- FOGSI- Dr. Prabhavati R. Dixit Scholarship for overseas study for the year 1998 - visited centres of excellence in London for Gynaec. Endoscopy, Foetal Medicine & HRT Clinic. (Haroldwood Hospital, Old Church Hospital, Hamorton Hospital - May to July 1999).
- MOGS- Johnson & Johnson Best Paper Award on Infections in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (1999). Subject - HIV Infection &Pregnancy.
- Dr. Ganatra Trust Award for services provided to adolescent girls - July 2000.
- MOGS Dr. Ganatra Trust Award for community services rendered to women Awarded by The Mumbai Obst. & Gynec. Society on 22nd April 07.
- Recipient of Dr.Suresh Nadkarni Award for Health Education of Indian Medical Association, Maharashtra Branch.
- Awarded 'AMWI Diamond Jubilee Award 2007' for work on 'Adolescent Health' by AMWI, Central Branch.
- Invited to deliver 'Dr.Leela Dube Oration of the Nagpur Obst. & Gynec. Society' on Cervical Cancer and HPV Vaccine on 22nd August 2009.
- 'Determination of BMD in Healthy Indian Women above 40 years of age and analysis of factors affecting BMD'. This paper received 3rd prize at All India level (second Runner up of the Corion Award in Senior Category for the year 2009, awarded by the Federation of Obst.& Gynec. societies of India at the Annual congress held at Gauhati in Jan 2010.
- Dr. Ashwini was invited by Dept. of State, Washington D.C.(Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs) to participate in the 'International visitor Leadership Program' on 'Women Medical Practitioners' from Sept 25 – Oct 13, 2009. She visited various health institutes and related projects in 4 cities of USA namely Washington DC, New Orleans, Sandiego and Cleveland. Only 3 women medical practitioners from India including her invited for this visit by the American Centre.
